Ever since I was a kid I loved to draw and create characters and stories. The other day I came across some drawings I made when I was ten years old and it was fun to see what I drew and wrote about back then. I barely even remember making some of the drawings that I looked at. Thank goodness I kept them so I won't forget about the charm and innocence of childhood. One of the things I try to capture in my work is the inspiration found while being a kid. I remember trying to catch butterflies and playing with fuzzy caterpillars and many other fun, carefree memories. The joy and entertainment contained in a child's imagination is limitless. I want to convey the treasure found by being young at heart.
